Movies have always been a good indicator of the times. Wall Street and Boiler Room for instance epitomized the wheeling and dealing corporations of the 80′s and 90′s, Trading Places is just ill with it’s comedic take on racial bias in 80′s management, while corporations such as “The Company” from Alien are the standard by which all evil corporations are measured. It stands to reason, during an institutional crisis like we’ve seen in the last month, that people would be looking at these movies and taking notes, making some comparisons, and trying to come to grips with what’s happening in the world around them.
