About

The Culture Market is a site dedicated to bringing a topical slant to how business interacts with popular culture. The site is intended as a conduit of sorts for the expression of ideas and thoughts about the influence that popular culture has had on the business world and vice versa, as well as the outcomes of these events as they transpire. Essentially we are looking for the through line that leads us to the next step in the evolution of our culture, and in doing so we will be looking at many of the things both big and small that influence us on a daily basis: in technology, marketing, branding, products and services, as well as events and things happening in the world at large.

Matthew Kudej is a filmmaker, social commentator, futurist, former business analyst with a Fortune 100 company, and entrepreneur with a degree in Art from the University of Minnesota. He recently finished editing the short film entitled, The Crisis, a cold war thriller about the lifting of the Cuban Trade Embargo, and has authored a number of websites including HenryPhish.com and Officialidea.com that have met with little fanfare but have obtained modest success in their own right.

The origin of this site owes a lot to my posts on the HenryPhish site which have a slightly more business marketing bent than is this sites intent. For this site, I’m striving for something a bit larger in scope, though consisting of more quick hits than the multi-page articles I was writing previously. So let me know if you like it…or if you don’t…and we’ll see how it goes.
